I am a Drupal newbie so my apologies if this has been asked before. What file types are supported by Node Gallery? Since the gallery is based on nodes does that mean that any file type that can be attached to a node can be added to the gallery? If this is true can this module display galleries of images, videos, audio, microsoft documents, and PDF files? If so can the module also make thumbnails or assign default thumbnails for all these file types? Or what other modules would I need to handle file types beyond images and still get thumbnails of the first page of a PDF for example?

Thanks for any help,

Jeff

Although the name 'node gallery' maybe implies its a gallery of nodes. But its really a gallery of images where the gallery and imagedisplay is a node.

Node Gallery will only be an image gallery. png, gif, and jpg / jpeg are the only allowed filetypes

I've been looking for the same thing. Fast Gallery can show them but to get a thumbnail you have to get an image and upload it to the same directly with screenshot in its name. Limitations are you can't use a title and of the other options (like filename) are not linkable. You are also stuck with the caption being only underneath (and maybe on top) but not on the side like I would like. The gallery situation in Drupal is frustrating. Wish there was a more powerful solution.

Anyone else with input on this question? I am thrilled with so many aspects of Drupal, but it does seem to be missing a solid multi-media, multi-document type gallery. We are a business with tons of content that we will never copy into Drupal nodes, such as image archives, PDF files, and tons of Microsoft documents. We have much more content in this format than we ever will in Drupal nodes. Yet we want to access this content on the web through Drupal. A tool that enables the access, gallery display, and search/indexing of this content would be a God send.

Thanks for any help,

Jeff
