hi guys, just a little and fast question:
When I add images to a gallery and i need to Sort them into a different order i find a little problem, my custom sorting will be not saved.
Sort items by: Title ↑↓ | Filename ↑↓ | Last changed date works fine, the problem just appear when i move my pics manually, if I press Save Custom sorting images will loose my personal sort.
Someone can give me a hand?
Thx a lot.
Luca

scroogie commentedIn your relationship settings, did you modify the "Gallery image sort view definition: "? The view and display that you select there must use the weight column to sort the results for the manual sorting to work.

I remember one of my testinstalls having the same problem. I ignored it and in the meantime nuked the install.

dddave commentedThe problem seems to be a conflict between jquery_ui and jquery_update. The former is used for the sorting while the latter may be required by some modules. On my installs jquery_update wasn't needed anymore but I forgot to disable it. So in my case the conflict was easy to resolve by simply disabling the update module.
So I set this to support request because I don't think there is something that NG can do to resolve this. scroogie of justintime might want to adjust status, category and priority. We might need to document that you cannot use the jq_ui sorting if your install needs to run jq_update.

scroogie commentedI documented this in another issue. The problem is that people exchange jquery and think that jquery_ui or other jquery modules keep working. If you update your jquery, you need to update your jquery_ui and other jquery modules as well.
Node gallery works with jquery_update, but only if you update jquery_ui as well. This is not our fault, its jquery_ui that does not work in that case.
