Beside images, I like to have videos in my galleries. My videos are hosted somewhere else like youtube or vimeo.

andreas_jonsson CreditAttribution: andreas_jonsson commentedA hackish way to get this functionality (although not a way to support this natively in ng obviously) could be to add an emfield (+ media: youtube for example) to your photo content type and then make your views show the video field if it's populated. The photo itself would work as the video thumbnail.
A crude solution but better than nothing!

yngens CreditAttribution: yngens commentedI second this request. Would be nice not to only embed video hosted elsewhere, but also load them locally, just like Flickr pictures and videos are kept at the same photostreams.
