After modifying some uploaded image titles and clicking save, the batch process is stuck at 0% and won't move:

MODIFYING IMAGES
0%
Images modification process is starting.

Same with modifying sort order, stuck at:

UPDATING IMAGE ORDER

0%
New image positions are being calculated.

Any ideas?

Can you reset your theme to garland and try again? Most batch API problems are due to theme incompatibilities. If that doesn't fix it, do you have issues when updating images via the Manage images page as well?

It's probably a server issue, it works fine when I download the site to my development server. I'll investigate further.

I'm having the same problem, and my development site also works fine. In addition to this, I'm having strange inconsistencies between node gallery and lightbox2. Everything that I check seems to be the same. Same module, same settings, very mysterious.
