Does not save default value on discarded fields

I have a boolean iToggle field and while the Node Convert module works brilliantly in every other way, I noticed that it does not save a default value, which results in the iToggle widget not showing unless I open the node and save it again. I'm not sure whether this is a Node Convert issue or iToggle issue.
