Problem:

Currently, the module allows only converting data keeping it bundled as one node.
I wonder whether it would be much work to integrate a feature which allows it not only to convert one node into another node but into two nodes where one is referencing the other one via a dedicated field. That would be a powerful mean to handle design faults (bad/no longer sufficient node type structure) as well as correcting usage faults (users posting content in the wrong way), thereby meeting a main aim of this module (IMHO).

Desired Goal:

Addition of the following functionality: Convert node x of type X into two nodes y and z of type Y and Z where both y and z hold some field values of x and z referencing y via a node reference field.

Suggested approach:

On the code layer, I suggest an approach where y is a conversion of x (as it works right now) and z is created additionally, using contents of x.
