Great module, has saved my bacon a lot of work.
One feature I would love though is something to stop a user with permission to clone a book node from being able to clone that clone in future. I don't want to stop them from making another clone of the original. Just stop them from cloning a clone. Looked at getting rid of the clone link using page-doc-clone.tpl.php but as you a laughing now you know that wouldn't work. Any suggestions?

pwolanin commentedYou'd basically need to define a new table to flag each node that is a clone, then alter the clone permissions to deny cloning any node that loads with that flag set. So that's basically a little custom module implementing hook_nodeapi for the load and save ops, plus additional code to interact with permissions, etc
You should be able to use the hooks provided by this module to set the flag on the clone as its created.
This is not something I think is a general need, so I don't plan to add it as a feature.

BIGREDPAUL commentedThanks for your response,
I have worked around it though.
I am already high-jacking the Edit nodes page with a panel so I just added a block to that which through css I'm hiding the primary tabs. Don't need them anyway. A bad hack == yes. But I could move onto other things quicker. Great module. (p.s also doing this on the node view. Again doesn't matter to lose primary tabs as I'm also high-jacking the node display with a view. To which I can add edit and other assorted links.
