heroicnick commentedTopic overview:
1. International Drupal Federation
- It is currently under discussion to discard the idea of an international federation and use NEDA instead to enable European fundings as well as European related matters. (Discussions during the Drupal event week in Belgium)
This includes using Open Collective for fundraising for Drupal worldwide.
Open questions: How would this be possible? What are legal objections, limitations? Who will be responsible? Is there the necessity to officially found NEDA as its own legal entity?
Next steps:
- Investigating options that are on display / further brainstorming
- Meeting the Association to further discuss this topic. -> Esmeralda is reaching out to Tim Doyle to see whether we can have a meeting with him, the working group and NEDA.
IMPORTANT NOTE: There is no decision being made.
2. LA_DE is back in LA_EU -> thanks to @stmh
- Stephan gives an update about the work he has been doing during Global Contribution Weekend 2026.
- Working out some things in parallel during the meeting: Discussing test environments provided by Lemberg and checking whether or not language picker has been implemented // Evaluation of progress on the multi language feature.
3. Other projects (pending for next meeting)
- All money there for Lemberg and for DrupalCon Vienna?
- Social Media activities?
- Drupal Dev Days? Who is going?
