6.x-1.x Confirm that scan for orphaned nodes will also work when javascript is disabled

Currently scan for orphaned nodes uses AHAH, but should confirm that the function is also working when javascript is disabled. Ideally it should add the results of the scan to the reloaded admin form when javascript is disabled so the administrator still has some feedback.
