DrDam, if you need any assistance with porting this module to D8, I'm willing to help out. My custom module development, javascript and PHP is fairly basic and I am fairly new to the Drupal community but this module is used in all of the D7 sites that I've built and I am definitely not new to Drupal. I feel that it is important enough to be a part of Drupal core, especially as they set an already high standard for menu systems.

I also think that it is important that this module be covered by the security advisory policy, as this heavily determines some of the download decisions even I make.

Can I test out the ZIP file you've attached as a test on a current website?

Just let me know how I can help out: testing, communicating, designing, a little coding, etc.

DrDam, trying out your ZIP file and it's working pretty good in D8! I've been experiencing a but with Drupal menu's where all of my links in a menu get disabled though... I know that this has nothing to do with this module, but still strange and frustrating. Haven't done much digging on that yet...

Anyway, just a couple things I would change right off the bat and completely my opinion/OCDness:

multiple_node_menu.info.yml

name: Multiple Node Menu
type: module
description: Replaces the node menu form with one that can handle multiple parents.
core: 8.x
package: Other
version: '8.x-1.0-dev'
