I tried this module, but I found that it is really buggy so I turned it off.
I am using content profile, with about 10 field groups and about 100 fields.
When I had this enabled, I did about 6 steps, and moved various fields into these steps (oout of fieldsets, because I found that it doesn't look good to have field groups in these steps).
But then, When I disabled this module, I found changes in multi steps affect my Manage fields fields page
admin/content/node-type/uprofile/fields
so I had to rearrange a lot of fields and field groups to state before I enabled this module.
This is really bad bug, and the changes on multi step tab coudn't affect manage fields tab.

This is not a bug (at least not for code). I should document that moving fields around on "Manage steps" affects the order of the fields in general, too.

If someone is willing to create a patch for it, ok ...
