Hey guys,
first of all, hats off for this module, it works amazingly well from the first install!
I just have one "minor" issue.. when a site user for example "deposits" money into his "wallet", what basically happens is a paypal transfer between the user's paypal account and the site's paypal account. Unfortunately, looking at my site's paypal account, I see that when it receives the money, a fee of 3.25% is applied (ouch!) and when a user "withdraws" some money, i.e. it is sent back, also a fee of seemingly 2% is applied to the store account again..
I'm just wondering if there's any way of avoiding these fees? I'm currently using the pre-configured WPP account in the sandbox, may that be a reason? If so, would a simple business account suffice? because seemingly the whole thing needs WPP to be configured to work...
Hope the question is clear and thanks a lot in advance for your reply!
Cheers

Stomper commentedAvoiding PayPal fees would be great.

aron novakI think paypal won't provide its services for free. I'm not very familiar with paypal fee structure, but if there is a cheaper similar service, it can be integrated.
But the users have huge trust in paypal, a lesser known service would be not so accepted maybe for the target audience.
This module already helps to avoid fees when doing transactions between users, i don't see a way to reduce deposit / withdraw fees.

arski commentedhmm, I think it should be possible depending on the type of transaction made? Again _I think_ that if you make a paypal transfer to your friend there is an option that defines the transfer as such and incurs no fee.. But if you make a payment, then the recipient needs to pay a fee.. or isn't that so?

Stomper commentedThat may work for certain cases, but if PayPal finds out every transaction was not necessarily what we said it was it could be considered fraudulent.

arski commentedhehe, that is true indeed :) so I guess then it is what it is.

aron novakit's by design, if someone suggests a legal way to reduce fees and it affects the module code, i can consider implementing it.
