Summary
Modules Manager is similar to Wordpress plugins manager in the sense that it allows you to view and install modules available for download directly from Drupal.org. Simply select modules from the list and clicking install! This effectively speeds up your installation process since you no longer have to cut and paste individual links into the module installer to get your site up and running!
It comes with a few basic checks to make sure your webserver user has access to download and install modules and it also automatically sifts through projects based on your website's drupal core version. This essentially makes it easy for new drupal owners to get running off the ground faster without worrying about downloading the wrong version of a module.

Installation
Download the module to your Drupal site and enable it using the /admin/modules link
Then, visit /admin/config/system/modules-manager to begin browsing, downloading and installing modules
