I receive 2 mails when someone posts a comment: one that the node is updated, and one that the node is commented. Is there a way to send only the "there is a new comment"-mail?

Is this just you as admin, or author, or a random normal user? Or all three? I have seen different behaviour on my own account to what I have seen for 'normal' accounts. May be worth double checking.

About the original issue, there should be only one, unless some other module actually updates the node.
