MenuOverride can force a menu item to be active even when it's not. The Context module allows you to choose an active menu item for a context, but rendered menus and breadcrumbs in that context don't always display accordingly. This module fixes that issue. In addition it provides a select field in the menu section of node edit pages for setting the active menu item on individual nodes.

Use case

Say, for example, you have a blog overview node in your menu system but hundreds of blog entry nodes that are not in your menu system. If you want the blog overview menu item to be active when viewing an individual blog entry, you can set this up with Context, but you will need the MenuOverride module to make your menu and breadcrumb display correctly.
