I installed this module today. It doesn't work for me, using absolutely no application whatsoever. Installed it, tried to use it, it broke.

I set up an argument of Menu: Node ID, and I was intending to set the default value of the argument the Node ID from the current page. There's no reason why this could possibly go wrong, but it doesn't do a thing and also throws up errors in the preview pane.

"SQLSTATE[42000]: Syntax error or access violation: 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ')) ))' at line 2"

Considering that fundamentally, a contextual view (such as 'everything under this page please') is a reasonable requirement (as well as the absolutely nothing it should reasonably take to flick those two or three switches) I don't understand why it's not working. Latest versions of both modules are in use, nothing untoward was done to any Views or templates.

Does this module just not work or something?

Yes, I am using this on a production site, and have so for over a year. And it has 3400+ D7 sites using it, so it certainly works for some use cases.

I use it to display a list of node titles, based on a contextual filter of 'Menu: Parent menu link id' and a sort order of 'Menu: Weight (asc)'. Both features are based on views handlers in Menu Node Views.

I actually think this module needs an RC version in order to line up a formal release, but since there is no maintainer for it, that won't happen anytime soon I guess.
