Right now matrix is not viewing rows/column that has no data. Sometimes this is not the wanted case and there is a need to show even if the row/column contains no data.
It would be good if each row/column could have an "Always show" option added in the same way as the Required option is there.

tsvenson commentedHi Aaron,
Just installed the latest dev with this "fix". Now all fields are viewed even if a row does not have any values at all, but there is no global or row option to turn this on or off.
For greatest flexibility I suggest:
Add radio option in the Global settings:
Default view of data cells:
- Don't view if row/column cells are empty (default setting)
- View even if row/column cells are empty
- Manage on individual row/column basis
If the third option is selected there will then be a checkmark "Always view" for each row or column that contains data cells depending on what is set in the Rows/Column in the Global settings.

tsvenson commentedThanks mate, works fine. Do you plan to later on make it more fine grained as in my suggestion?
aaron1234nz commentedNo plan to make this finer grained. My reason for this is that when I get the unlimited rows thing happening, it will be impossible to set this on a field, by field basis.

tsvenson commentedOkidoki, that's understandable. Unless the unlimited field is treated as only showing rows/columns that has data. On the other hand that will make configuration complicated.
