is there a D7 version planned of this module?
i would need snippets functionality for a client D7 installation + i don't know excactly which requested functionalities your module already includes + i know "Canned Texts" and like the generic approach of it but in this case nodes are to heavy, i think ...

i need:
- select specific content type(s) to work with
- 2 modes: general snippets + node-specific snippets as option
-> in the form a checkbox: save this snippet only for the current node
-> when recall the node later for editing/inserting you get a mixture of general snippets and the node-specific snippets

so the db table needs a nid reference additional - right?

should we develop internal a new module or are you interested to include this in a D7 version of your module? i don't have a big budget, but maybe we can find an arrangement :)

it's not time critical, because the site is already running and for the client it would be a nice addition ...

No, not at all - I simply didn't see it! Sorry.

Frankly, this module has problems stemming from the way the WYSIWYG API works - problems which are acknowledged by sun in that issue queue but still not fully fixed. I think a D7 version of this module is probably a good idea, but I'd like to see the WYSIWYG API issue fixed and committed first, so at least we can use this without breaking WYSIWYG support.
