If you disable the module and send email using the core contact form, you get the following message.

Warning: class_implements() [function.class-implements]: Class MailHeadersSystem does not exist and could not be loaded in drupal_mail_system() (line 276 of /home/xxxxx/public_html/includes/mail.inc).
Exception: Class MailHeadersSystem does not implement interface MailSystemInterface in drupal_mail_system() (line 281 of /home/xxxxx/public_html/includes/mail.inc).

Uninstalling and flushing caches does not help.

Instead of this patch, you can also use the Mail System module to reset the mail_system variable back to DefaultMailSystem.

I guess you can remove this statement from the project page:

The module assumes that if you enable it, is because you want to use our class. There is currently no way to disable it.

Hi Drew

It still stands, as while the module is enabled you can't disable the class (unless you install http://drupal.org/project/mailsystem)

Cheers
