Hi,
I'm using non-CCK fields for a few reasons (mostly that when I was implementing my content types, the CCK portion of this module wasn't working as well as the non-CCK method).
I understand that the CCK method is The Way of the Future, and that it's a far more useful method of creating fields, but I have a huge calendar full of events with non-CCK locations.
Is there a way to convert or import these locations into a newly created CCK field without having to manually edit each event and copy-and-paste all the info?

yesct commentedI think you might be able to use the migrate module (with schema and table wizard?) or you might export the info, then import it.
I know some people have written code to import location (cck?) stuff, maybe they could post their code they used here?
You might use the issue advanced search for the tag "location importing":
http://drupal.org/project/issues/search/location?text=&assigned=&submitt...
This is that same search over all projects:

And also see specifically:

ankur commentedCCK is now Fields and the future 7.x-4.x version will be a fields-only version of location. There will probably be an upgrade path then.
