Hi, we are still using Drupal6 for one product of my company and I just updated from 6.x-3.2 to 6.x-3.3. After that I figured out that the geocoding accuracy of full german addresses (with street, postal-code and city) is worser than with the old version.
I saw the new components parameter in the URL that was added with #2072869: Google geocoding not always accurate for partial addresses. I checked what they are uses for. For me this is the problem right now because with the new parameter Google doesn't seeme to recognize the street passed in the address values. The response date contain the value "location_type" : "APPROXIMATE" instead of "location_type" : "ROOFTOP" which is returned if I remove the components parameter.
So I don't know if the components filter parameter should only be used if not all address components (at least street) are available. But for me this seemes to be a problematic change.
