Things to note:

Drupal 5.x-1.x-dev is actually in the 2.x series and has update 7.
HEAD is actually in the 1.x series and does not have update 7.

Update 7 deals with a new format for the geocoder settings. It seems pretty minor.

The actual database schema currently matches across the board, which is excellent news.
