Hi,
I'm working on a by-lingual website and I have a content type that requires a location field and requires a different default value for French and for English. How can I set the default for the second language?

Through the admin interface I can translate the field but the form field to enter the default value is a simple text field.

Maybe I don't understand your problem, but can't you just use a hook_form_alter and check the language via global $language; and change the default value ?
