Dynamic geocoding location

Sorry for the stupid question, I googled a lot, I've read some issues but there is stille one thing I can't understand:

location is able to dynamic geocode a location (I mean, without saving the node)

If you know the module "node location" http://drupal.org/project/nodemap you can understand what I mean.
