This is a feature some Joomla module "mosets tree" has. Its pretty cool but if it could be done in Drupal, it would be prove again Drupal ownz.

Basically its just a JavaScript Tree of links that lets you expand/collapse your links. This would be neat if we want to have a lot of links as a block in a side-navigation-bar. This should be an optional choice to use, and you could still be able to access the current link setup by clicking on the root of that tree.

You could probably do that using the taxonomy_dhtml module, assuming LinksDB uses taxonomy.
