Call-time pass-by-reference warning

Thanks for the updates. I like the features you've added. I just tried implementing the latest release and am seeing the following pop up in the header area of my test site.

Warning: Call-time pass-by-reference has been deprecated - argument passed by value; If you would like to pass it by reference, modify the declaration of [runtime function name](). If you would like to enable call-time pass-by-reference, you can set allow_call_time_pass_reference to true in your INI file.

The node at http://drupal.org/node/72266 mentions this issue for another module. Seems like I need access to my php.ini file, which I don't have to correct. Is there a way around this?
