Looks like "Enable weblinks directory" creates a fixed link called "weblink" in the Navigation menu. That doesn't work with my setup because I have a seperate Site Menu, and reserve Navigation for personal links (My Account, etc).

I'd like to use the weblink directory, but that menu item doesn't fit there. Even if I could just disable the creation of that link and manually add a link, while still building the directory would work fine.

Thanks for any coding or updates on this.

Did you try enabling and using menu.module?

Yes, menu.module is enabled and I'm comfortable using it. But this module does not allow you to change that link.

The 'weblinks' menu item doesn't have a record in the 'menu' table.

(see attached: SQL search "LIKE '%weblink%'" in menu table)

    if (variable_get('links_weblink_enable_catalog', 1)) {
      $items[] = array('path' => 'links/weblink',
        'title' => t('weblinks'),
        'callback' => 'links_weblink_page',
        'access' => user_access('view weblinks'));
    }

I have a feeling that there is a problem on your side. Does refreshing the cache work?

I just tried clearing the cache. Same results as screenshots.

It's really strange because it seems to be the only menu item that doesn't have an entry in the menu SQL table.

I've noticed the same thing to using Drupal 4.7 RC3 and the latest CVS of the links package from the 19/4/06

Try this.

I believe menus need to be cachable for them to appear in the menu modification page/database.

This does seem to fix the problem. Thanks to all who posted on this issue. I've just committed the patch to CVS. Please test at your convenience.

Nobody has complained that this patch didn't work, so I'm assuming the problem is fixed. Reopen if not.
