Maybe it is an idea to add more domains to the validate and cleanup functions? The auto add function of http:// is a nice feature, but it would be nice if it supported more domains.

I'm not sure if the request is stated properly. Do you wish to have more domains (example.com) or more protocols (http, ftp, etc)?
