If I create a Landing Page, then am on said landing page, I don't see the Panels IPE toolbar across the bottom. Opening up the JS console, I get:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'changeable' of undefined

It's coming from drupal.js (8.0.6), line 67 (which is just the Drupal.throwError function).

Is Lightning supposed to be using 8.1.x? If so, maybe the Drupal.org packager isn't picking that up... For this install, I downloaded the latest release (rc2) from the project page as a tarball instead of installing via Composer.

Digging deeper, I tried installing via Composer, but that didn't really make a difference.

If I publish a landing page, I get that JS error in the console and don't see the toolbar. If I work on a draft or unpublish the landing page, then I see the toolbar and no JS error.

Title: Getting "Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'changeable' of undefined" » Getting "Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'changeable' of undefined" viewing published landing pages

Hrm. I'm seeing different results and mine are consistent across installation method:

  • JS error on creation of landing page (both installation methods): Cannot reproduce
  • JS error on publish of landing page (both installation methods): Can reproduce

Missing IPE on published entity: by design
For the second scenario, while I can reproduce the JS error, it is not causing the IPE to not be displayed. That is by design for content types that use workbench moderation. We don't allow editing of published nodes via IPE for the same reasons that we don't allow editing of published nodes via quick edit. That is, there might be a forward revision that would be disregarded by quick edit and/or IPE.

Error on creation
So, the JS error on publish seems valid, but it doesn't seem to have any effect on the system. And I'd like to figure out why you were seeing errors on create. RC2 should run on core 8.0.6 so that's not the problem. It does patch core's ajax system. Were you downloading the whole tarball with core dropping just the profile into a vanilla core instance? If it was the latter, that might be the problem.

I was dropping the entire tarball in a docroot as downloaded from Drupal.org. Good to know the IPE shouldn't show on published revisions, though... It was confusing me!

Hi, I'm not using Lightning but using Acquia Dev Desktop and getting

Cannot read property 'Constructor' of undefined(…)

from drupal.js on Drupal 8.2.1.

A jquery plugin isn't working as expected but no errors are being thrown out by the plugin (jquery.SelectBoxIt)

@kristin.e: If you're not on Lightning, I'm not sure the problem is related to what spawned this issue.
