Lightbox2 is not compatible with Calendar2/Date2/Views2

I can't reproduce this issue. There should be no conflict with "ajax" libraries. Lightbox2 uses the default jquery library that comes with Drupal core. In fact lightbox2 uses little to no ajax type stuff, and then only with the rel attribute set to lightmodal on a link. There's no reason why lightbox2 would cause the views ui for the calendar module to slow.

I'm not convinced it is a lightbox2 issue. However you can disable the lightbox2 module from executing it's javascript files on specified pages at admin/settings/lightbox2. Just add in the path for the views ui in question.

If this does improve matters for you, then I'll take a closer look at the issue but only if you can provide me with all your lightbox2 settings and details on how I can recreate a view similar to yours so I can try to reproduce it. Ideally I'd like to get access to your site, as sometimes this sort of thing is theme related (e.g. Zen themes have a limit on number of css and js files!). Also, is this browser/platform specific?

I could not figure out why clicking submit when I am editing a view took so long. I would get a slow script error and firefox would just spin for a while before executing

I took a look at a view page

I took a look at the js on the page as displayed by page view from my browser

I disabled each module that added a .js file

Lightbox2 was what was causing the issue. I don't know why, but I do know that by disabling it, the slowness and slow script warning went away.
