im kinda new to all this stuff so please don't judge me if i make some mistakes that are obvious for you guys.... here is my problem the lightbox 2 module won't work on my site... when i click the link it will open a _self page with the picture instead of openning a lightbox2 box.
If you want to see the actual problem go to my page:
http://www.mdjvarennes.net/?q=node/3
Try clicking on the image #1 or photo 1 ( not far from the top ) links to see what is happening .
Thank you very much for your time.
P.-s. i did update the jQuery update module.

stella commentedIt looks like you're using the Drupal 6 version of the lightbox2 module (6.x-1.3) with a Drupal 5 installation. If you are using Drupal 5, then you need to use lightbox2 5.x-2.3.
Cheers,
Stella

klucid commentedI can't get this module to work either. I have D6 and (I think) I'm using the D6 version of Lightbox.

The top link (Logo Designs) is the one I'm trying to adjust for Lightbox module. The bottom link is another javascript.

stella commentedklucid: nope, you're either using a really old version of the lightbox2 or more likely, you downloaded the code from huddletogether.com or some other non-drupal site.
klucid commentedThanks for your reply. I just redownloaded and reinstalled from the Drupal site with no luck.
All I have to do is enable the module and then use the "Rel=" tag, right?
stella commentedYou still have the old js files included, and the prototype and scriptaculous files, which conflict with the jquery library that comes with Drupal.
You need to remove these from wherever you've added them.

klucid commentedFreaking awesome. It works. But the close buttons are behaving erratically. I'm guessing I have some CSS issues now. Lol.
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!
stella commentedTry the latest dev version of the lightbox2 module, that should fix the close button issue.
klucid commentedJust installed it with no luck. Here's my issue:
IE7: The close button floats before the DIV is done resizing. Not really a big deal.
FF3: There are two X's for closing the DIV. This is weird. I think I deleted any possible confilicting CSS files.
=)

klucid commentedOk, my bad. I fixed it. I guess I installed the module wrong somehow. Lol.
Quick question: I'm getting a blank white DIV for the inline CSS on my portfolio page for both FF3 and Safari. I'm assuming it's the same for Chrome. The images show up fine. Any ideas?!
Thanks again for all your help. You've really helped me out a lot.

klucid commentedGot it. I'm using rel=lightframe now.

stella commentedmwoodward5: lightbox2 appears to be working on your site, at least in the photo gallery section. If you're still having problems, or if it is not working elsewhere on your site, please open a separate support request.
cheers,

cfm4n commented(I'm using Drupal 7.22 - not version 6)
I have a site hosted at GoDaddy using Drupal 7.22. I cannot get Lightbox2 to work at all. Here's my test page - http://www.gordiescall.org/christina. That image has 'rel=lightbox' in there; I've also tried 'rel=lightframe'.
I've installed the jQuery update, tried 1.5 and 1.8, and set the jQuery and jQuery UI CDN to 'jquery'. (tried it also with 'none', no luck).
Any other suggestions? I installed it on another site I have, not hosted through GoDaddy, and Lightbox2 worked perfectly.
thanks for help!

kaicyee commentedHi, I'm also have a problem with Lightbox2, 6.x-1.11 for Drupal 6. I'm using the latest Jquery library. My problem is that the Lightbox2 gallery seems to work in administrative mode (you can see a screen shot of the admin mode here: http://yeefungtoy-dc.com/sites/default/files/YFT%20Gallery%20admin.jpg). But it doesn't show up when I'm looking at in the published mode as an anonymous user:

I thought it might be a permissions problem but nothing refers to this phenomena in permissions. Any help you can give would be much appreciated.
Thank you
