The option to use original the story's date is useful, but I'd like to see a feature to check if the date is in the future. If the date is in the future, then I'd like to see an option of either holding the story until the date is reached or publishing immediately with the current time.

I would create all leeched nodes in a moderation queue, unpublished and then have a custom module or a module like workflow publish them from there if they are not in the future.

Should be an easy thing to do. Either way, it's nothing that will find into leech. I hope you don't mind if I close the issue.
