I have not seen any drupal 7 support for this module yet.
I am offering to maintain a drupal 7 version.
I need this for my upcoming drupal 7 websites, so I have already created a drupal 7 version here: http://drupal.org/node/990686
FYI: that module is under the name soft_delete as this is a more "friendly" name when presented to end-users who care more about names than actual meaning.
If projects cannot be renamed then I would be fine with opening a new project called soft_delete as mention that this is the drupal 7 version of killfile for those seeking to upgrade.

Arto commentedI have added you as a maintainer, with full CVS access.
I'm not sure that renaming the project to a (if I may) bland name is the best course forward; the current name is very distinguishing on purpose. However, I'm unlikely to personally put further effort into this project as I don't work much with Drupal any longer, so if you're serious about taking over, you should feel free to run things your own way.

Arto commentedFYI, I have requested that the full project ownership be transferred to you as well (#1005140: Transfer the Killfile project). Once that happens, please add back CVS access for me (CVS username "arto"), as I believe that gets inadvertently removed in the transfer process. The only other request I would have is that the project description footer at http://drupal.org/project/killfile would keep a mention of the original authors and sponsors of the module, such as the text that I have now reworded it to.

thekevinday commentedI believe the credits were preserved and are mentioned in the readme.txt file.
Correct me if I missed something.
As far as access is concerned, it seems that the transfer happened and all of the previous access has been preserved.
The ownership transfer shows a design bug in drupal.org.
The project now says: "Posted by thekevinday on October 27, 2008 at 5:50am".
It seems to have changed its records of Arto with thekevinday when ownership changed, instead of preserving the history and only changing ownership.
