It would be nice if one was able to specify a default thumbnail image for each video type. At the moment you have to specify an image each time you use the player. If you don't specify a thumbnail, the player will try to download a thumbnail from a path like "www.example.com/content/false."

That's a good suggestion. I'll make sure to include it in the next release of the module, which will hopefully be soon.

Thanks.

Is there an active development? I search of a thumbnail solution, too.

@Zman,

Are you experiencing the same issue timd.mackey mentioned. Do you have a test page I could view to see what exactly is happening?

Thanks.

Thanks for your prompt answer.
I do not have the my project on the internet. I have the same problem timd.mackey mentioned. If I do not set the "image" parameter in my node body text, the Player tries to get an image from "base_url()/false" which is logically not found (404).
So we search a solution to assign a default thumbnail to each player profile or at first a prevention of trying to load the non-defined thumbnail which results 404 now.

Hi Zman,

I will investigate using my local installation. In the meantime could you provide the tag you are using to embed the player in your node?

Thanks.

I have been playing with the Video module, and successfully used it to generate thumbnails (with FFMpeg) from the uploaded video. It's not relevent to the JWPlayer, but might be a tool to use in concert.
