Junco is a starter kit capable Drupal theme with the goal to provide a simple design so that a variety of standard functional areas are displayed cleanly. This allows the theme to apply to personal or commercial web site needs such as to display blog, article, informational and marketing content.
The theme should be capable of being used as-is by a site owner with basic modifications as well as being used by a developer as a starter kit theme to to customize and to make their web site unique.
Motivation
I often search for a Drupal theme that I could use to demonstrate or test module and site-building functionality, and I have not found many themes that fits this criteria other than Olivero. Many themes either make too many assumptions, have dependencies, or require a build process that requires customization. I also wanted to contribute to the theme ecosystem.
Getting started
It is recommended that use junco as a starter kit, and then customize the theme, but you may also install junco directly and modify theme settings and logo for your brand.
Development
The theme uses plain CSS rather than any framework or style pre-processor so that users do not need a front-end build process prior to deploying changes.
Licenses
This theme makes use of the Open Font License (OFL) font Montserrat. All other code is licensed under the GPL 2.0-or-later.
