I inherited a site with Jquery Update installed. I want to update it but it does not appear in the update list. I can also not uninstall it (I have disabled it). It does not show on the uninstall list.

When I enable the Jquery update module and go to configure I am not given any options to change the version of Jquery.

In sites/all/module/contrib I renamed jquery_plugin to _jquery_plugin

Is still shows on the module list.

Is there any other way I can get rid of it?
