Use it as views exposed filter

That would be out of the scope of this module. I'll try to make the module's description more explicit with the fact that it is aimed at fields rather than list boxes in general.

However, one could certainly use the jQuery plugin on Views exposed filters.

I guess JQuery UI Multiselect can easily replace any select boxes. On a closer look this module looks to use a different jquery than this http://www.erichynds.com/jquery/jquery-ui-multiselect-widget/
