This small API could be used by so many other modules to retrieve interesting locative informations about guests and members..!

Just to make few examples:

  • Banner module: display geotargeted banners depending on language/country of origin of the visitor viewing the page.
  • Statistics module: show stats about where visitors are coming from.
  • Profile module: show current country location of members.
  • Locale module: use specific site translation.
  • ...



    • Personally, i would be *very* interested in the first two functionalities, and willing to donate for a bounty and of course for testing as well ;)

    Maybe is more the deal of other modules, but i am not sure other mantainers are aware of this...or are they?

FYI, I have also maintained Search Keywords module. I wrote IP to Country for this one but it could be very useful for other modules. That's why I separated IP 2 Country into another module.
