It would be nice if the suppliers address could include 'state' besides the current zip, city and country.

Agree with this. To work around, I simply enter "City, State" in the city field. Not a good solution if you are trying to tie in any other functionality however.

I totally agree. The field "state" is now added to the Drupal 7 version of the invoice module.
However it won't be added to the Drupal 6 version anymore.
