cwgordon7 commentedMay I suggest that instead of creating your own module, you contribute to the plugin_manager effort instead? It doesn't help the community to have several modules that do nearly the exact same thing; it just confuses people. Instead, it's great to try to collaborate with others who are interested in working on the same stuff you are. I suggest you add a (deprecated) notice to the project page and begin submitting patches to plugin_manager. :)

jabapyth commentedI am very sorry. I had looked around for a module installer, and being unable to find one, decided to build one myself. I have put a (deprecated) notice at the top of the Installator project page, and will now add my efforts to the plugin_manager module.
Thank you,
Jabapyth

dwwFYI: I just marked the 6.x release series of your module unsupported and disabled releases for the project over at http://drupal.org/node/307168/edit/releases so there's no longer a download visible on the project page, and the project no longer shows up in the project browsing pages.
Thanks for agreeing to cooperate and reduce duplication.
