For my purposes, I can imagine a number of way the use of this module could simplify running my Drupal sites.
However, I've never implemented its use on a wide scale basis because the the "performance hit" issue associated with it disabling caching.

In the readme.txt is states caching is disabled because of the possibility of the block involved being dynamic.
It's a shame that there aren't two versions of this module, one for dynamic blocks, the other for static (for which caching could be enabled).
