Serguey commentedI am trying to insert an inline image into a Basic Page body using the "Image" button in the CKEditor toolbar. Whereas the image initially shows in the page in the WYSIWIG mode and the corresponding code in the code mode, it all disappears after pressing the Save button. No message of any kind is displayed. The image itself gets saved in the corresponding node folder.
What's the problem and how can it be fixed?
Fresh Drupal 9.1.6 installation, installed via Softaculous
PHP 7.3.
PS. It occurred to me that the problem could be somehow related to the browser I am using - Vivaldi. Tried doing this in Opera. Same results.
Here is a video of the process. Please note that even though "Basic HTML" text format is used in this particular clip, exactly the same thing happens when using the "Full HTML" text format.

Here is a video on an expanded version of the process.

vm commentedThe inline images module for Drupal 4.7.x has nothing to do with your issue since you can't possibly be using it on Drupal 9. I'm closing this support request as outdated. Please return to the forum post you created and follow through with the debugging being asked of you. Flailing around and generating duplicate posts isn't helpful at all.
Serguey commentedDrupal 4.7.x was the highest choice available in that Byzantine choice of options.
Way to sidestep the issue.
vm commentedinlineimages.module was a community contributed module for Drupal 4.7.x and is not related in any way to Drupal 9.
Serguey commentedI saw Drupal for the first time just a few days ago, so I have no idea what all of its modules are called and when they were contributed or which module is used for which operation. I just wanted to report a problem with inserting inline images and simply got lost in the maze of proprietary technical gobbledygook.
vm commentedquite a difference in the form between an issue and a forum post. That's the first clue. Suggest working through the documentation for how to interact with the community etc. It will clear up a lot of things that will benefit you in the short and long term.
Nothing proprietary about Drupal. It's open-source.
Serguey commentedBy "proprietary" I meant technical gobbledygook used only in Drupal.

vm commentedhttps://www.drupal.org/docs/user_guide/en/glossary.html - should aid.
Drupal uses dictionary-specific terms but you're not the first person to have trouble with its nomenclature.
Serguey commentedThat's quite a consolation.
