Hi, i recently started working on Drupal Website which is already built.
I created a user type "Vendors" and "Customers", now they should have their type specific editable form page, where Vendor shud have Name, logo (image) and description. So i want the form page from where they can fill all the details and add Image/logo and save and can view it. I created content type VENDOR which has 2 fields Name, description but i dont know how to add Image field there. I am using CCK, but dont knw how to provide browse button for image so that after filling everything and saving it vendor can view it.
Is it thru CCK i can do it or i need to use VIEWS for the same. i am going thru videos but cant get any example like that.
I also dont know is this the right way of doing it, can any 1 please help me with the same...

thekevinday commentedYou will probably want to try IMCE: http://drupal.org/project/imce along with one of the editors from the WYSIGYG API project: http://drupal.org/project/wysiwyg
This support request is more appropriate for the WYSIWYG.
This will provide you with a means to provide what you wish, but also may provide more than what you need.
I am moving this to the wysiwyg support.
Alternatively, look into the imagefield module: http://drupal.org/handbook/modules/imagefield

twodIf you want a separate field for the vendor image, you could probably use the imagefield.module. I'll move the issue there instead.
It'll let you easily add a new filefield.module with an Image widget for selecting and uploading an image. For things like logos it's often better to have a separate CCK field - like Imagefield - than just uploading the image and inserting a link to it with the rest of the content. A separate field is easier to theme relative to the rest of the page so it'll be displayed exactly where you want it on the vendor pages.
Btw, the Views module does not add things like field to nodes. It is used to build an often complex database query - to fetch things like nodes - using a GUI. Then it run sthe query when a display of the View is viewed and renders the returned db rows in some nice way - perhaps like a HTML table with the returned fields as ordered columns.

quicksketchYes, if you're wanting a simple field to upload an image file, you should be using this module. It's straight-forward once you've enabled the module how to add a File field (using the "Image" widget"), the same as you'd add a text field.
