We are experiencing a problem where sometimes when we save a Chinese or Japanese image titles and alt text from our translated content showing up on our original English content. I think this happens when some of the content is edited and saved on the Chinese or Japanese side. I have found an issue in the Internationalization issue queue here and I think this is related and the debugging has been done to point the direction:
We are experiencing this on CCK 2.3, imagefield 3.0 on our live servers we have upgraded to cck 2.7 and imagefield 3.7 and still experience the problem.
This is essential that we get this fixed for the launch of our site.

quicksketchAll issues regarding translation of content are likely due to i18n module's management of syncing translation content (since it alone provides the syncing ability). This should be consolidated with the already existing issue.

deverman commentedOur programmer has analyzed the problem and suggested a solution on this issue and has moved the issue to the filefield queue.

Please validate the solution and let us know how to proceed so we can write a patch. We urgently need to fix this problem to launch our site.

deverman commentedOh, by the way please be clear we are NOT syncing our images because we have captions translated in each language and even though we have the syncing checkbox for our image fields unchecked we still end up with Chinese captions on our English site.
