Hi,
CCK : 6.x-2.6
Imagefield : 6.x-3.3
Files : 0777
Tmp : 0777
Download method : public
I upgraded Imagefield to version 6.x-3.3. I did the same with Filefield. Since this upgrade there is no "Image preview" in my Content Type. Images are created but not the preview and there is nothing created in the directory "imagefield_thumbs". All the old preview still exist. I made no change in the imagefield configuration.

quicksketchThanks for the report. On a fresh install of Drupal I can't reproduce the issue, it's likely a combination of either modules or server configuration. Do you have ImageAPI (and ImageCache) installed? Do your thumbnails still work when generated through ImageCache? The 3.3. version started using ImageAPI if it was available and then should fallback to the default GD handling. If something is broken with ImageAPI however, it may fail entirely.

1baraki commentedImageAPI and ImageCache : Installed and enable. But, thumbnails don't work when generated through ImageCache. There is also nothing created in the directory imagecache/Vignette (where Vignette is the name of the preset).
It's maybe just one problem but the problem of imagecache is old. It existed when I upgraded Imagefield to version 6.x-3.3.
quicksketchIt sounds as though ImageAPI handling is broken on your site. If you want you can disable ImageAPI and ImageCache entirely and the thumbnails will work again on the node form (since ImageField will fallback to GD). However I'd suggest looking into what's causing ImageAPI to fail, checking permissions, make sure that you actually have ImageAPI GD or ImageAPI ImageMagick enabled.

bessone commentedI have the same issue, after upgrading all my imagecache generated image disappear. Happen to all images on a ubercart product nodes.
bessone commentedFound my problem. After updating modules with drush, on my drupal installation imagefield module was not installed. After installing the module all fixed.

superflyman commentedI am having a similar problem after updating imagefield and filefield. When I am uploading images the process hangs. I can see from the progress bar that the image is uploaded and then the cursor just keeps spinning. The "image preview" never shows up and the upload never completes itself. If I try and save it while it is still in progress I get the following error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function content_access() in /var/www/vhosts/example.com/httpdocs/sites/all/modules/filefield/filefield.module on line 479
Any thoughts?

quicksketchNeither of the issues brought up in #4 or #6 are related to this post. H-BES see #492166: Imagefield module gets disabled on upgrade, or unexpectedly on running cron. superflyman, please open a new issue.

1baraki commentedPermisions for Files and TMP are 0777. It's the same for all the sub-directory.
ImageMagick and ImageAPI GD2 enabled but I use ImageAPI ImageMagick. I can disable this 2 modules but i don't know if it's realy a good idea.
quicksketchYou should probably only use one or the other here, though I don't think having them both enabled causes any problem. Make sure that the setting at admin/settings/imageapi is configured to use which ever one you have enabled.
1baraki commentedIn admin/settings/imageapi ImageAPI ImageMagick is enabled.
I unistalled Image ApI GD2.
No change.
quicksketchClosing this issue. The ImageField queue is not a proper place for debugging server configurations.
