I am having a problem where images are dissappearing from a multiple image field. It seems to happen after a node has been edited after saving. I have found the break, but can't find a fix. When dissecting the database tables, I am seeing that all of the rows in the cck field table are referencing the first image uploaded. the rows in the files table is correct. see below for example.

Does anyone have the faintest clue on this? I have exhausted all ideas and im pulling my hair out here.

I'd suggest first updating to the latest version of ImageField (2.6), the problem may have already been fixed. Support for the Drupal 5 version is pretty minimal, since none of the maintainers are using Drupal 5 any more.

I have since upgraded to 2.6 but the issue still persists. The best I can come up with, is that session variables are getting over written, It appears to be some type of javascript issue. But i just cant put my finger on where this is happening or how to fix it.

I bumped into this issue (or it's identical cousin) today, and noticed that there may be no need to re-upload the file; simply hitting edit => save made the image re-appear. Try it and let me know if it works for you :)
