With RC4 of imagefield a user managed to upload a BMP file, though bitmaps are not included in my allowed file extensions (jpg jpeg png gif) for the cck field.
Doing so, the auto-resize didn´t work as well. The image stayed the original size and hasn´t been reduced to the given maximum resolution.

Ack! Does this also happen with rc6? 5.x-dev? What is the actual filename being uploaded? Can you post the file here?

Sorry, RC6 doesn´t work with my installation at all (I just get the description in the widget but no upload field). So I stuck to rc4...
The filename is 'Bild C.Raemy 1.bmp'.
The file itself is more or less confidential, so I can´t post it here.
