A project of mine needed imagefield to demand a certain resolution in one area, so I dropped in some code that does the job.

I thought others might also find this option useful, so here's a patch that adds this functionality.

I'd strongly suggest taking a look at ImageCache. Although it doesn't restrict images to be uploaded greater than a certain size, it will resize them to any size you want.

Thanks, Rob, it's a good suggestion. I did have a look at Image Cache, however it's just overkill for what I need.

Sounds like a great idea, Nathan. When I get the time, I'd love to code it up -- but no immediate promises, as I'm currently heavily bogged down.

A meat bites if you get around to it, it would be an awesome feature, but post the patches in http://drupal.org/node/119585 as this is a duplicate.
