when trying to create an image field in a content type, I get this error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function imagefield_widget_settings_save() in .../sites/all/modules/imagefield/imagefield.module on line 171

and when trying to create a file field:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function filefield_widget_settings_save() in .../sites/all/modules/filefield/filefield.module on line 299

anyone else having this problem or just me?

This is not a problem on fresh installs of ImageField that I can tell. Are you using PHP 5.3? Most likely you're experiencing something similar to #807680: APC setting "apc.include_once_override" causes call to undefined function filefield_widget_settings_save().

Yes this is a fresh install on a 10.4 LTS using php 5.3

#9 from the thread you suggested above did the trick for me. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction, that was spot on!
