I keep getting the error: The remote file could not be transferred because it was not found.

But the created or edited image is in the imageeditor/temp directory and I can view it by browsing to it directly via any browser. No errors show up in the server logfile or the dblog.

Transferring an image via remote url works but not if it is on the same site.

Drupal doesn't seem to be able to find it. I'm guessing its a server configuration but what could the problem possibly be?

Just made a new install with only Imageeditor, ctools and filefield_sources installed. I still get the problem.

Blake,

Thank you for using the module.

It looks like it is definitely related to some server setup - the functionality that is not working is actually from the Filefield Sources module.
Could you please just get the URL to the image on your server (the one that gets saved to the imageeditor/temp directory) and try to enter it manually into Remote file source (without using Image Editor) of the File field to see if it will work? It it doesn't (like you wrote "Transferring an image via remote url works but not if it is on the same site.") then we would need to ask in the Filefield Sources module queue on how to approach this.

Thanks
AndyB

Yeah it's not your module. Your module is actually working like a charm by the looks of it. It must something to do with my server config and FileField sources.

Thanks for your exceptionally quick response. I'll try find out whats going on with the server.

If you feel like taking a stab in the dark at which of the following you think it might be by all means feel free to do so.

I've played around with the directory permissions they look fine and everything else works normally.

Wonky Permissions
Wonky PHP settings
Wonky DNS
.htaccess
Drupal Settings

It was a DNS issue with virtualmin external IP address settings. Phew. Thanks this module is awesome.
